Trolltunga also known as the troll tongue (because of its shape) is one of the famous must-visit sites of Norway. It is situated about 1100 meters above sea level creating a beautiful view from this naturally cantilevered masterpiece.

WATCH MY VIDEO MONTAGE OF THIS TRIP

There are several options to get here. Me and my friend drove from Ølve to Odda for roughly 2 hours including a ferry ride.

First thing you need to do is to check the weather forecast as you don’t want to climb here on a heavy rainy day. The best months to go here is around June when the snow melts on the mountains until the end of September.

Although this is not an extreme hike, make sure you still prepare and get yourself in shape.  The hike will last for around 8-10hours. Be sure to wear proper hiking shoes, bring some food (snacks if you will not camp), extra clothes, water bottles, maps ( but there are route markers so it is really easy to find it) and camping gears if you think of staying for the night.
